Yea, I bet she was their princess until she grew up & ate more food. People are so low and disgusting, When you get a dog its for life not just for a few months until you get bored or they grow up. A living Animal isn’t a new accessory like a purse!

I love dogs all my life and when I saw the pics of “Princess”,I almost choked from not be able to swallow from the sight. The mistreatment of one of the most loving and unwavering loyal creature’s on this earth just sickens me! I really hope she makes it through the pain,trauma and hardship of her life and the dirty,heartless,lowdown people that did this be delt with not just by the hand of the law but,god also.

I think “personhood” would be an excellent first step if we could get an international community on board with conferring it. The next would then be acknowledging personhood for all animals - because once you grant it for some and deny it for others, you occupy a kind of godlike status deciding who/what is worthy of life, decent treatment, etc. The final step would one that we haven’t yet crossed with human beings, let alone any other creature - deciding that being a person means thats we shouldn’t kill you, enslave you, own you, manipulate you, or turn you into a biological machine or fodder for our engine of profit and comfort. Our history suggests that we go through stages with this: 1. We don’t see something as a person, so we feel free to sell it, kill it, and use it up. That’s when we see some things as person, and some things as not. 2. We recognize it as a person, but we don’t really think personhood means that you can’t exploit it - it just means exploitation must be regulated or shifted to the black market or both. 3. We determine that it does mean this, so we invent another class of person, a 2nd, 3rd, or whatever, and we make some more equal than others. Kuwaitis must be defended but not Tutsis. Torture’s bad when Sadaam does it, OK when we do it. Etc.

This sorry excuse for a human being the world can certainly do without. What ever happened to man(kind)???? I believe in an eye for an eye and feel that this piece of scum should suffer the same cold heartless act and then be put down and rid of. The world would be in a better place minus one less cold-hearted a-hole. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with people these days but it’s scary and a real shame and an awful shame what ‘we’ as a human race do to animals.

Too many times I read about animal rights groups who support homegrown terrism. If these groups of “concerned” people were more concerned with what goes on in thier own homes and not what everyone else is doing thier kids wouldn’t be out robbing the liquor store or beating up little Johnnie down the street. What type of monster would do something like this? It should scare everyone to know these types of idiots walk among us every day, we never know who they are. ;-(

This is a VERY good reason to NEVER allow your Dogs to roam freely, keep them safe at your home, don’t be the next one to discover such horrific pain was caused to your Dogs.

I don’t have a problem with the practice, but I think it would be better to call them companion animals because they are not just toys for us to pet. Of course, there still needs to be a revolution of consciousness regarding our responsibility toward these animals, but I see nothing wrong with different species living together.

I don’t have a lot of considered thoughts on this issue, but, I did want to say: I am an atheist and a some type of vegan/vegetarian for a long time and it isn’t easy. Everyone wants to debate with me about all of it at all times. We all know how this goes, it’s just so tiring sometimes. Honestly, there are many times when I don’t say anything because I am just not up for the debate. It’s exhausting.

I agree with that - I don’t understand the answer to the question - what would we do with all the homeless pets if we refused to house and feed them.
I don’t think it’s non-vegan to have animals share your life and home. Mine are family members, even if they didn’t choose any of it, their only other options would have been euthenasia or a short and painful life on the streets.

Mr. Roberts has been a Broker of pups for over 24 years and NOW they are going after him. He is just another person in Agent Cooper’s witch hunt. She tried to get several breeders but thank God through appeals they were found innocent and so will Mr. Roberts. The SPCA STOLE his puppies, as this is typical of the terrorist tactics of the SPCA. They use fear and OLD, OUTDATED “LAWS” to try to scare their victims into pleading guily to make themselves look important and to “cash in” on the victim’s property. Oh and “disgusted buyer” be informed, the reason everything is being kept HUSH,HUSH is that the SPCA now finds themselves in a very bad situation themselves with being charged for tresspass, theft, slander, etc. as they had no grounds to do what they did to Mr. Roberts.
