i personally think this is a brutal crime, and it is shameful how someone could be so disgusting. I mean to have the cold heart to do this. It is sad and cruel, and whoever did it should go to prison and stay there for at least 40 years

I feel enlightened by the previous enlightening statements expressed on this amazingly enlightened blog. While animal rights is not necessarily a controversial topic, I find that it is necessary to impart a small morsel of my knowledge to those underlings which consider themselves to be wise in the ways of animal martyrdom. Considering the fact that I am also about to blight the continuing sordid details with my brain, I compound the fact by making people feel Beehomius on my behalf. Consider this: I feel that the half of me that lives daily is consumed by inner turmoil. Lives can be saved by reading this commment. Copy and paste it and email it to your counterparts.

I must concur with the obvious intelligence of the previous commentator. Camera monitoring in slaughterhouses is mutually beneficial to the well-being of not just chickens, but an assortment of helpless animals which have no choice but to live out their lives in confinement. We must work towards the liberation of these hapless animals to prove that we ourselves are not animals.

I find the idea of slaughterhouses repulsive and varying in soundness of safe agricultural practices. The poor chickens being clobbered daily by cruel slaughterers makes me want to go insane about nearly 20% of all the time i live daily. Meanwhile, agricultural interests drag down the concepts of individuality in these chickens, by placing them in horribly close proximity to one another. Cameras in slaughterhouses would save an innumerable amount of chickens from relinquishing their individuality. These chickens are martyrs of the animal rights movements, and need to be respected to the utmost.

Thank you for the video. I think you should follow it up with some emergency measures if a dog is exposed to those toxins while enroute to the vet.

The information in this article is completely false due to its omissions of pertinent detail involving Emax. This was a pitbull who had previously been detained for biting someone and had previously attacked two postal workers. Jones's chickens were "breed" chickens of a specialty nature, not just your regular farm chicken. IT IS NOT ILLEGAL TO HAVE CHICKENS IN THE MACON CITY LIMITS. Even the Macon Department of Health had visited Jones to ensure the pen in which the chickens were kept was the correct distance from the home-- which it was. Six years for killing a dog that ripped up 36 of your pets to shreds??? Two months later, a man in the same area got four years for killing four people in vehicular homicide-- the South continues to live up to its name of corruption and backwardsness. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!!!

My name is Angie. I used to work at the shelter. When I worked at the shlter, Kent Williams came in and aasked me to look for a smart lab. A few weeks alter a beautiful black lab came into the shelter. She was a great fence climber, so I could not keep this dog inside. I called Kent Williams and told him about the dog. He said he had to have her and he then adopted without paying an adoption fee for her. He did have her taken to the vet by his right hand man, best friend , animal control officer buddy Donald Fling. He did have that one spayed at least. Kent knew she had heart worms and Kent promised me there was no way she could escape his fence. The dog kept getting out and he or Donald Fling would call me to tell me to go get the dog. Donald Fling was the animal control officer not me, but I went and got the dog anyway in personal vehicle. Finally after Kent had not came back for the dog I gave him a call and asked if he was coming back for the blkack lab, he said he did not care for or have time for that dog to put her to sleep or what ever, he did not have time to deal with her anymore. I then called the vet to find out what had been done with her so I could find rescue for her. I then found out from the vet that she had tested positive for heartworms and Kent had never brought her back for her heart worm treatment. I called Kent back and told him about the heart worms and he said the dog is not his problem and do not bother him with it again. So some great kids in the county raised over $300 for her heart worm treatment and we found a great rescue for her. So, you see this lack of interest for animal life is not an iscolated case. This is the way Kent is. Why have an animal if you could care less about them.

I think it is time all of us united americans rise up and form an organization of people united for human rights and fight the wackos in Peta, the Humane Society, and anyone else that wants to mind your business. If we all give an attorney $100/yr there will be enough money to tie these fruitcakes up in court for years. By the way when did the United States of America allow private wacko organizations like the Humane Society, Peta, etc. the right to issue fines, tickets, and more against private citizens? They are NOT law enforcement bodies. They have overstepped their boundaries and it time to put them back in their place. If you donate to these organizations- Stop.

For humans? I don't think so, sounds weird to me. Maybe for their puppies possibly be. I think it's not grief but the feeling of the dog that used to be with his master was now different due to the fact that his master is gone. The dog is just experiencing uncomfortableness with his new environment.

Just another wonderful bit of evidence that supports my belief that some people don't deserve a dog. Also, humanity has a lot of learning to do. Part of me wants to hurt people who hurt animals and a part of me wants to say " when did you first begin to notice your heart shriveling up". If there is a God, those with kind heart for animals will be loved. But isn't loving animals part of our natural wiring? So, I guess those who treat animals badly have a wire (or whatever the computer age analogy is)loose. So we should pity them, too.

While I'm sure the dogs will love these, the cows and chickens... not so much. Why aren't these vegan? It's easy enough to veganize that recipe and that way no chicken will stand crammed in a wire cage to make these.

starving dogs is a horrible thing, but more red tape and regs on good people will not solve your problems. The puppy mill HB is more government regulation and is a down right invasion of privacy.

puppy mills are just BAD business. who is going to buy a starving puppy anyways...

Plenty of hunt clubs and small breeding kennels across Virginia do not merely "comply" with the rules; but raise healthy, beautiful, and happy hounds.

you all are exploiting the "puppy mill" situation only to further your crack-pot ideas.

ACTION ALERT: Calling all Phila, PA Animal Welfare Advocates for Monday, March 10th!

Peaceful presence needed for hearing - supporters of Edna and Bill Whiting are requested!

Victor Rodriguez will face an adjudicatory hearing this coming Monday to face the 'Edna terror/phone-threat' court case.

March 10th at 8:30AM in Family Court
1801 Vine Street
Philadelphia, PA

It will be an adjudicatory hearing, and there is a good chance a verdict will be handed down that same day.

Only reporters will be allowed inside the courtroom, but supporters are welcome to participate in a peaceful presence outside 1801 Vine Street, where protest signs will be made available.

What you can do
Many supporters who attended the rally are unable to attend the hearing this Monday as they cannot get off from work again on short notice. We DESPERATELY need people come out and support Bill and Edna!

PLEASE, if you are able to attend on Monday morning at 8:30 AM, please contact billandedna@hotmail.com.

PLEASE CROSSPOST!
