Am I Wrong Or Can We Really Do Something
Hi, my name is Jim and I lost a pet this past week and have not been able to stop crying yet. So much to say but can’t, I’m an older male (57) who always thought animals came & went with no thought about them. But as I got older & came to appreciate how precious life is, I started to care & give more of my heart & feelings to animals. I belong to a Health Plan that I pay so much for each animal, I have 2 Beagles & 1 small mix left after my other little girl was hit & killed last Wed. I live in the S.F, Oakland bay area,When and Bay area when I took her to the Vets office to try and save her they charged me a 1000.00 to see her, after seeing her, they said she needed o be observed overnight and that they needed to send her to the only 24 Hr Vet service in this area. Don’t misunderstand, I’m not blaming anyone for what happened next, but she was still alive and barking which gave me so much hope she’d be okay. The vet wanted another $1000.00 for the next 8 hours which my son then used his credit card to pay for what we thought would cover her treatment.Within three hours they said she would need a skull Xray which would be another $800.00, and if she needed surgery it would cost thousands more. I didn’t have the money and just had them care for her with what I had payed for, I had to have her put down the next mornining because of the cost of trying to keep her alive. I belong to the group that shows mistreated animals on T.V. and yet they couldn’t help me! Is there anyone out there who thinks that if we each donated say $20.00 per month or at least a minimum of $5.00 per month we could build a hospital that helped all our pets in each area without it costing more than we have, Am I Wrong or can we do something right for those who can’t help themselves, I’ve never done anything like this before, but we have to have a way among ourselves to really make a change in costs and keep our loved ones alive best we can, with costs we can afford. Here’s my money to the one’s who really care, Just please don’t mind my tears, they’re for real!!!!!!

Jim, I am truly sorry for your loss. My worse nightmare is to lose one my fur babies to a car. I’m not sure you could find enough people or animal professionals to bring about what you suggest but it’s a hell of a good idea and I wish you luck.
And try to be at peace about your girl. She’s running and playing now with her buds and is just waiting for the day you will be reunited. She wouldn’t want you to cry.
In peace

Hello Jim. You went WAY beyond the call of duty to save your girl! The Vet, in my estimation, is a CROOK! 800 bucks for an xray! These people need to be put out of business! Please release their name.
