Mr.Kenneth Cassar's contribution regarding Hate, Moral Cowardice, Tolerance and Priorities further confirms how this gentleman chooses to play with words and hide behind a computer monitor!

Readers are entitled to read the other side of the argument. Mr. Cassar insists that he is not being insultive towards me. Even this contribution alone confirms his insults not to mention the various arrogant contributions he writes in the Maltese local media. Even his love for animals (besides birds) is doubted. These are just a few of Mr. Kenneth Cassar's contributions which I will quote (these were submitted by him to The Times of Malta on the dates indicated:-

1. When referring to hunting dogs on 1st April 2008, I quote him: "I am not saying we should kill any dogs here. I'm just saying that we should breed no more".

2. 16th April 2008: "I may suggest you start a course in 'Granutell'. It may slightly relax your frustration."

3. 21st May 2008: "For those who still fail to grasp the simple logic" when referring to pro-hunting individuals.

4. 16th June 2008 (regarding the article in question): "It makes a refreshing change from the usual illogical and prejudiced comments dumped my way".

As for Mr. Cassar writing that I do nothing about injustices, I ask him for fairness sake, how he has come to this conclusion, Never and nowhere have I ever said or written that I do nothing against injustices. If I were not a respectable person I would definitely call him a liar, but I will refrain from doing such things.

As can be seen from some of his comments listed above, Mr. Kenneth Cassar is indeed being insultive towards the pro-hunting individuals in Malta. He shows no respect towards the law-abiding hunters, their hunting dogs (which your organisation protects) and others like myself who defend the rights of hunters.

In my last contribution in reply to Mr. Cassar on 16th June 2008 I have made it very clear that: "Before you (Kenneth Cassar) start writing with some sense and with due respect to other individuals, I will just ignore you."

As is normal practice, Mr. Cassar replied, including the following insults:

"Regarding ignoring me, I think it is the sensible thing for you to do, seeing that you fail to understand half of what I write in simple English".

and

"Of course, I fully understand why you don't see an iota of sense in my contributions, but of course, I won't tell you, otherwise you will say that I am insulting you".

and

"You have a lot of learning to do".

Dear readers, I am sure you will agree that Mr. Kenneth Cassar's contributions are not that complimentary! His playing around with words also do not make his contributions quite fruitful.

Finally, his article of 20th June 2008 was submitted in the hope that he will say what he wants, attributing things to me which I have NEVER written. Does one gain respect this way? It reminds me of a child beating another child and then running to mum saying that the other child beat him up, thus hiding his actions!

We live in a world where we should show respect towards one another. I feel one should only attack the argument and NOT the individual.

Unfortunately, a different picture from the real one is being given about the Maltese Law-abiding hunters. Hunting is practised throughout the world and likewise it should be enjoyed by the hunters in Malta. This is a traditional pastime and I strongly believe that the law-abiding hunter should be left to enjoy his hobby. The hunting dogs, also, need to continue enjoying themselves. It is only the few law-breaking hunters who MUST be stopped and the law enforced.

Most of the anti-hunting lobby in Malta wants to abolish hunting. This is where I cannot comprehend their line of taught. While defending the shot birds (in very small numbers and not the millions mentioned by BirdLife), yet they ignore the feelings of the hunters (humans) and their loving hunting dogs. I assure you that many of the Maltese people are not against hunting. It is only the anti-hunting lobby which portrays that the majority are against hunting. I, myself, am not hunter yet I champion their cause. This is where tolerance comes in. This does not mean that I hate animals, far from it. I adore my two dear dogs!

I believe that while defending birds, you agree that one cannot infringe on the rights of other animals and humans. Extremist views have no place in decent contributions. Unfortunately, lack of respect and professionalism is quite lacking in certain anti-hunting contributors in Malta.
